Petoskey, MI – 10/20/2025 – Northland Area Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Keith Stevens has joined our team as Senior Business Development Officer. Stevens has 20+ years in financial service industries and has a wealth of experience lending throughout Michigan from consumer and mortgage loans, to all things business-related no matter the size of the business. Keith’s experience working in various facets of banking has afforded him the opportunity to not only work with top-tier lending teams over the years but also manage and train employees with a member-focused approach to understanding products, services and the member experience as it pertains to our community of members. His hope is to shape the focus and strategy of how Northland Area Federal Credit Union stays in tune with our local Northern Michigan communities.
In his position as Senior Business Development Officer, Keith is responsible for creating an environment where he will partner with our business members to provide business services at multiple levels. This includes account, deposit, and loan services. Stevens is also responsible for broadening existing member relationships, generating mortgage and consumer loan referrals, and promoting Northland through local business community engagement opportunities. Furthermore, Keith is responsible for originating loans and managing business loan portfolios while supporting loan collections and delinquency mitigation. His background in Product Management and Member Experience will lead our efforts in monitoring loan product usage of our members while recommending changes accordingly, supporting the development of lending promotions, and offering training to coach and develop employees that aligns with our member’s feedback.
