Restaurant Manager – Wineguys Restaurant Group

Since 1996, Wineguys Restaurant Group has developed four distinct dining destinations in downtown Petoskey: City Park Grill, Palette Bistro and Roast & Toast Cafe. Wineguys Restaurant Group recently welcomed a fourth dining destination, Jax Northside in Charlevoix (summer 2023). Through these successful ventures, the group expanded their enterprise to include Wineguys Catering.

We are currently seeking a motivated, experienced Restaurant Manager. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of management experience in a restaurant setting. Understanding of culinary, kitchen and restaurant operations is essential. Must be willing to work days/nights/weekends and holidays as needed. Wineguys offers in-depth training and room to advance.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining quality standards.
- Train and supervise employees on proper food handling, safety procedures, and customer service.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely food preparation and delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Manage shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales and expenses.

Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role is required.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and culinary techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and cash handling.

-Accounting experience is a PLUS
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, employees, and vendors.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or hospitality degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a related field.
