Kayak the Maple River

Brutus, Emmet County Enjoy a summer paddling trip down the twists and turns of the Maple River as you look for rising trout and enjoy the wonders of this pristine riverine habitat. LTC staff will discuss land conservation efforts along the Maple River and the float will be about 1½ hours on the water. The float is for confident kayakers with basic self-rescue experience, and you must provide your own kayak, paddle and PFD. Kayak rentals are available through Ryde Marine of Alanson, The Outfitter in Harbor Springs, or BrassWind Landing in Indian River. Group size is limited.
