Calling all bird lovers, novice and experienced! The Otsego Conservation District is hosting a FREE guided bird tour through the Otsego County Demonstration Gardens and Conservation Forest on Saturday, October 13th from 9a.m. to 11a.m. Learn about the different bird species found in the area from an expert! Join Petoskey Audubon Society Member, Darrell Lawson, and OCD staff on a guided bird-watching tour through our beautiful gardens. We will also be introducing the eBird app and how to use it. This app contributes to science and conservation using a real-time, online checklist that allows the birding community to report and access information about birds. Grab your binoculars and bring out the kids, your neighbors, and friends to join in a community effort to help the Otsego Conservation District identify the various bird species in our own backyard! Registration is required for this free event. To register or get more information, contact Huron Pines AmeriCorps Member, Lija Krievs, at (989) 732-4021.
