"What is stress and how can I better manage it? Women are twice as stressed as men, yet women play the role of mother, care giver, wife, employee, entrepreneur, chauffeur, person chef, maid, and more. How can we juggle all of these roles and still keep our sanity? Dr. Emily Brown of Bear River Chiropractic will give you tips on how to do it all without compromising your own health.

Up North Wellness and Massage and Petoskey Surgeons are our current Luncheon Sponsor. Our Quarterly Champion Sponsor is Grandpa Shorter's and Yoga Roots. Marquee sponsors for this season Grand Traverse Ophthalmology Clinic, PNC Bank, and our exclusive radio sponsor is Lite 96.3.

We need additional luncheon sponsors, especially those related to women's health. Be a lunch sponsor of this event for only $150. It includes one lunch admission, plus a covered table for display so you can interact with the attendees during registration/networking time.  Sponsors also have the opportunity to put information on the tables. A sponsor can also offer a door prize.  Call Lisa for details 347-4150.

Dr. Emily Brown (previously Emily Foster) grew up in Charlevoix, MI. Upon graduating from Charlevoix High School she went on to Albion College to pursue a degree in Biology with a minor in psychology and a concentration in neuroscience.

While at Albion, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in the health care field because she loved helping people. She met and shadowed a chiropractor and she fell in love with the profession. As someone who had suffered from migraine headaches, she found that chiropractic care quickly freed her from the limitations and pain she had been suffering from. Due to her newfound passion, she applied to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA and by October of 2012 she was a chiropractic student.

After graduating with her Doctorate of Chiropractic, Dr. Emily was able to move home to Northern Michigan. She is happy to be back with her family. Dr. Emily also serves on the Foundation Board for NCMC, Thriving Petoskey Committee, and the YMCA Fundraising Committee.

The luncheon is at North Central Michigan College's Iron Horse Cafe.  The lunch buffet will include tuna salad, chicken salad, tossed salad with assorted dressings, rolls and dessert. Drinks will include coffee, lemonade and iced tea.
