Event Description:
This is the annual Connecting Women in Business GO GRANTS Fundraiser. This year we are holding it over a lunch hour instead of in the evening.
Start your holiday shopping with this amazing silent auction and you know the money raised by the silent auction helps improve the self esteem and skills of young women, in grades 6-10 in the CHAR-EM ISD service area. Cost to attend is $35. $20 of the ticket price goes directly to the grants program as well as proceeds from the silent auction and sponsorships.
Sponsors include: Comfort Keepers, Harbor/Brenn Agencies, Trillium A Complete Salon. Lite 96.3 is the radio sponsor and PNC Bank is the Marquee Sponsor.
Chamber businesses are encouraged to support the silent auction and the Go Grants by making a silent auction donation. All sponsorship dollars will also directly support the GO Grants.
Individuals can to support this event by being part of the GO GRANTS wine brigade – drop off a bottle of wine at the chamber office and we will put it into a basket with other donated wines to turn into a wonderful silent auction item.
Go Grants are an important element of the Connecting Women in Business Group. Grants provide small grants to girls in grades 6 to 10 in the Char-Em ISD service area and reach out to young girls in the area who have an idea and a passion to try something new. Grants range up to $500.

CTAC SOLILOQUY: Detroit Society of Women Painters and Sculptors

SOLILOQUY, an exhibition of recent works by the Detroit Society of Women Painters and Sculptors will be on view in the CTAC Gilbert Gallery from September 17th to November 19th. The exhibition, juried in June 2016, by Hubert Massey at the Anton Art Center in Mt. Clemens, includes two and three dimensional works by 35 members of the Society.

CTAC 2016 Juried Fine Arts Exhibition

The juried exhibition represents artists from all over the state of Michigan and CTAC members. The exhibit opening, which will be on Saturday, September 17th, is open to members/guests and artists only. Awards will be announced at the opening between the hours of 2-4 p.m. Artists can enter the exhibition online during the months of June and July. Monetary prizes will be awarded in the amounts of $1,000, $500, and $250.
